Bee Informed Honey! - May Green Drinks 2011

We would like to thank you for participating in the Bee Informed Honey! a Green Drinks/House Gathering and for making it such a success. We had a colourful palette of 30 people ranging from 10 to 70 years old among which we had Maltese, British, American, Czech and Greek, 2 artists, 2 activists, 2 organic farmers, 2 tango dancers and a philosopher. Many thanks to John Portelli (an avid Green Drinker and the secretary of MOAM), Christine and Carolyn (Green Drinks rookies) for taking the photos and sharing them with us. Find them by checking "Say Cheese" to your right.
At the moment we are working on the honey recipe book which will be ready when Simone finishes it. We will send you a note when it is ready so you can access it.

Our warm appreciation goes to Alfred Baldacchino who gave us wild flower info along the route, to Simone Cutajar of Green House who with her informative talk and her bubbly nature gave pleasure to all and to knowledgeable local guy Nicholas Żammit ‘the Fawwara honey man’. Incidentally, Nicholas will be exhibiting and selling his bees’ honey at the Artisan Market in Birgu on Sunday 15 May 2011. Come and say hello to him! On the same day there is also the Worldfest at Upper Barrakka Valletta. Go for the win-win scenario and attend both wonderful events!

Green Drinks is a network of people. It is an organic community which is based on sharing of knowledge and socialising. Be part of it by coming up with ideas about events, being responsible for co-organisation of an event etc. If you have anything you can offer, drop us a line! Together we will raise environmental awareness and enjoy it along the way.
